Facility Highlights
Located in the rolling hills of Northern Mississippi, Oxford Treatment Center provides care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders while also helping them connect with in a serene and picturesque environment. In August 2024, American Addiction Centers will be expanding Oxford’s outpatient program by opening Oxford Treatment Center Southaven.
At Oxford, you can address your substance abuse issues while forming a robust community of recovering peers and participating in a plethora of specialized therapies that encourage dynamic healing.

An Average Day in Rehab
Once you complete the detox process,* your typical day in treatment will revolve around groups and classes. Treatment will vary according to the patient and the day, but the following is a sample of a typical schedule:
- 6:30 am: Wake up
- 7:30 am: Breakfast
- 8:25: Community meeting
- 9 am–12:00 pm: Psychoeducation and process groups
- 12:00: Lunch/free time
- 1:30 pm–5 pm: Groups or educational classes
- 5:00 pm: Dinner/free or recreational time
- 6:00 pm: Group meeting (such as AA or NA)
- 10:30 pm: Lights out
*Programming may begin during detox, if you feel well enough and are medically stable.
Family Involvement
Family Programming
Families are directly impacted by a loved one’s addiction. Family involvement in their loved one’s recovery is strongly encouraged.
Families may work with their loved one’s treatment team to schedule on-site structured family programming.
Outside of structured programming, family visits are not allowed at this time.
